Breeding Goals:
Our goal in breeding rats is to produce long lived, healthy and quality hand raised companion rats. We choose animals with a sound skeletal structure, no tumors as well as fancy coat colors and patterns, including dumbo ears.
Rattery History:
We began this little Rattery nestled in the hills of Berkshire County in a town called Pittsfield, Massachusetts. We are located near the major cities of Hartford, CT, Springfield, MA, Bennington, VT and Albany, NY.
Quarantine Policy:
All new rats are to be quarantined in a separate room for a minimum of 3 weeks before introducing populations.
Rattery Mission Statement:
We handle and play with each animal daily, as well as our daily roam time. We feed our animals a strict and varied vegetarian diet with fruits and grains, starches, nuts and seeds. We do not feed our animals animal products, instead we supplement the diet with spirulina cubes and provide them with the healthiest diet possible. None of our rats have had a tumor to date!!

Rattery Owner:
Felicia Coppola is a Pittsfield native who has a love for all animals with a soecial focus on rats and their behavior, health and genetics. We began this rattery as a hobby.
